[Enigmail] How to view encrypted message body?

I am testing the Enigmail encryption for various types of messages and I
have now run into a slight problem with ThunderBird:

I sent an encrypted HTML message to my alternate email address.
If I let TB download the message and ten click on it TB asks for my
secret passphrase.
After I enter it I can see the message just fine. (So encrypting HTML
works :-))

But I want to verify that the message is in fact encrypted so I want to
view the un-decrypted message contents.
If I cancel the passphrase entry all TB shows is an *empty* message. :-(

How can I view the actual *encrypted* message body?
