You have great prejudices towards the users of different OSs. Anyway
tools like Thunderbird, Enigmail or GPG are intended to work for both
systems and should thus have a low entry barrier.
If it is easy to work with an utility then people will use it. The more
users are able to work properly with tools like Enigmail the more you
can trust your web (of trust).
My hope is that in the future privacy will still be something that is
possible for all people -- and not only for some privileged ones.
