[Dragtotab] Lost Re-size Thumb?

This has happened twice now, on two different systems.  I go to move the 
"thumb" from the customize area to next to the search box, and it's gets 
lost.  (Probably my old fingers trying to get it where it belongs.)  I 
uninstall, re-install, find the new "thumb" slider, and when I move it 
to where it should be, it gets lost again.  What DID happen however, was 
that when I re-installed, the search box got wider, before I tried to 
move the slider thumb.

Am I explaining this properly enough?  Has anyone a clue as to how I 
should proceed to recover this functionality?
