Hi Jaap, sorry to be a pain but despite your help which I have followed
to the letter and rereading the Dictionary Search website, I am no
further forward with installing another dictionary.

However I have the feeling that despite repeated downloads and
installations, both Firefox and Thunderbird versions for XP are slightly
corrupt because they are missing small but vital parts.

This also seems to be the case for Dictionary Search. Here in
Dictionary Search/ Changing/Adding Dictionaries/ First paragraph "
...........clicking on the small square with the checkmark (i.e.the top
one of the three squares on the right)...."

On the latest version that I have downloaded yet again yesterday, as in
all the previous versions, there are definitely no three squares on the
right and certainly none with a checkmark. There are four squares for
"Access Key:" only on the right.
Further the tabs: Help - Cancel - OK are also missing from the
bottom of the settings dialogue box.

I also have similar problems with some other extensions in particular
Foxy Tunes and PDF Download, in those cases a tab to place an icon on
the toolbar is missing so I can not access either extension.

This is probably of no interest to you but I can not find any one else
who is interested. But it is a shame, because there may be a lot of
people out there who have given up on some good things because they are
not working correctly. I have certainly done so several times over the
past months but an itch keeps bringing me back to try again.

If you are not getting the take up that you would expect this could be a
reason.

Regards, George Clarke
