[Deskcut] shortcut

First up if it's installed OK (it shows up under Tools -> Extensions), 
you should be able to just right-click on a web page or link, then 
left-click on the menu item "create deskcut"... Under windows it should 
find your desktop, linux gets a little flakier.  If you need to get at 
the options, hit Tools -> Extensions, highlight the deskcut entry and 
click Options.  The defaults should do, but Linux users will have to 
browse to the Desktop entry (mine is /home/evan/Desktop).  KDE works 
fine, Gnome wasn't too happy last I tried...
