It's trivial to edit the existing one and increase the
version number from 1.6 to 2.0 (or even higher if you're
anticipating some patches to 2.0).

Download the XPI, rename it to .ZIP, then you can open it
with any unZIPper (I use Total Commander from
http://www.ghisler.com but WinZIP will work, as will
InfoZIP [true freeware]). Use any text editor (e.g.
notepad, metapad) to make the following changes.

1. In "install.js" increment the version number from
1.3.2 to 1.3.3.
2. In "install.rdf" increment the version number to 1.3.3
and in the "Firefox" section change the number following
em:maxVersion from 1.6 to 2.5 (anything 2.0 or larger
will work). (If you're using Mozilla instead of Firefox,
then increment the maxVersion there.)
3. In the "chrome" subdirectory inside the XPI/ZIP is
copyurlplus.jar. Rename this to copyurlplus.zip and edit
"content\copyurlplus\content.rdf" to increment the
version number to 1.3.3.
4. Rename the .jar back to .ZIP and compress it back into
the original XPI/ZIP.
5. Rename the master ZIP back to copyurlplus-v1.3.3.xpi
(note the incremented version number)
6. Open the fixed .XPI in Firefox 2.
