Hi Kobaz,
Forcing a CookieSwap profile change on tab-change wouldn't be difficult, but I'm not sure how valuable that would be. On profile change, all the browser cookies are changed, so the cookies associated with the first tab would also be changed.

Is this example along the lines of what you were thinking? You can easily simulate it by changing the profile manually:
-You have Gmail open in tab #1 and #2
-Clicking on tab #1 would cause CookieSwap to automatically change to Profile1
-Clicking on tab #2 would cause CookieSwap to automatically change to Profile2

The drawback is that when you change to tab #2, the cookies used by tab #1 would also be changed. So, if the account on tab #1 received new mail, it would not show up in the tab's title because tab #1 is really no longer connected to Gmail with account #1...it's in a strange state (note under chat, Gmail reports "You have been logged out of Gmail"). And actually, Gmail handles this situation more gracefully than other mail like Yahoo! that eventually generates a popup window when it gets in this state.

In order to see the mail associated with tab #1, you would need to click on tab #1 (which would trigger Profile1 to become active) and then a reload of the page would be needed (could be done automatically by CookieSwap) to see the new mail.

Does this make any sense? Do you still think that would be valuable?

It's something I'll need to think more about. Thanks for the suggestion.

Steve
