Hi, Jim,
>it's not in my Extension Manager!
How are you installing it? Through update.mozilla.org? From my Mozdev page? Are there any error messages during installation?
>Maybe it's because I'm running the German version??????
If so, then you are the first to report such a problem. If there is a problem, I'd be surprised given the relative popularity of CookieCuller.
Here's some suggestions which I'm not sure if you've tried yet.
Suggestion 1:
Make sure that JavaScript is enabled and that "Allow web sites to install software" option is checked. Then try installing it. Be sure to restart Firefox after the installation before trying to use the extension.
If it still doesn’t work, try downloading the XPI to a local directory.
Open the file by dragging it to the browser window; by opening it using File | Open File; by typing the location into the location bar.
Suggestion 2:
Create a new profile to test with. Backup your "C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.xxx\" directory and delete the contents to start fresh. Then try installing CookieCuller before making configuration changes or installing other extensions. Restart the browser before trying to use CookieCuller.
Suggestion 3:
Uninstall Firefox completely and delete your profile directory (back it up first!). Reinstall Firefox 0.93 or better yet, Firefox 1.0PR1. Try installing CookieCuller. Restart the browser before trying to use CookieCuller. I know of others who have had problems with extensions when they installed one version of Firefox onto a previous version.
