The problem is because update.mozilla.org is not listing CC 1.1.0 as being compatible with 1.0 even though it is (functionally and as stated in its install.rdf).  So when you simply install FF 1.0 over a previous version which already has CC installed, you get the "incompatible situation."

I've submitted a bugzilla report to have them fix the problem but it will probably take awhile as usual.

To work around it, simply uninstall and reinstall CC under FF 1.0.
