It is probably 'junk' left behind from a previous version. On Firefox,
the toolbar uses the extension manager to get the version number for the
extension ID.
If you create a new profile and install the toolbar, do you get the same
result? If so, the problem is somewhere in the application directory.
If not, then it is somewhere in the profile.
It might help to search your Firefox profile and application chrome
directories for any files containing the 'wacky' version strings.
