[Companion] Alerts icon and tooltips not working

Hi,

To those who worked on this: well done! I have been
waiting for this functionality long enough, surely
since I have been using Firefox...

Now that it's here, all works fine for me (Firefox
1.0, Companion 0.5.4.20041020 with these 2 exceptions:
- the Alerts icon is on all the time and triggers no
action when clicked (IE behaviour is for the icon to
be shown only when an alert is displayed - i.e. new
mail has arrived, when clicked the dropdown menu shows
the action that triggered the alert);
- tooltips, particularly in the bookmarks dropdown, do
not work. Instead, an empty tooltip is shown for some
reason. This is just an annoyance...

Any help appreciated.
