[Companion] Hiding buttons revisited

I noticed some posts a few months ago about hiding the search button. I
would really like to hide any or all of the yahoo buttons such as the Y!
button, the pencil button (Which I'd duplicate with a right-click on any
empty spot on the toolbar) the magnifying glass, the search web button
and the notification.

I would love to just be able to place a few small buttons on the screen,
and if I need more I could always right-click on the yahoo toolbar and
show them.

As a matter of fact, is there any reason this plug-in can't use the
existing Firefox toolbar functionality? This would allow us to
integrate the Yahoo buttons anywhere we like on the screen. Personally
I'd like to see the bookmarks button next to the toolbar and the address
book icon to the left of the Firefox address bar.

What I really don't want is to use up another line on my screen-and my
existing 3 bars are nearly full.

This does not change the purpose of the toolbar; it is only making it
more flexible. It also gives this project a huge benefit over the
"Official" Yahoo toolbar that is supposed to be coming out.

Sorry if this has been done to death, but I didn't see it anywhere
recent and I think it's quite important-it determines if I can use the
thing or not so it's definitely important to me.

Thank you,

Bill Kress
