[Companion] Menus mostly inoperative, search box gone

I tried downgrading and the problem remained.  After I logged out last night
and logged back in this morning, the problem disappeared.  I then decided to
try reinstalling 0.6.1.20051216.  

I saw the "Y!" icon next to the active toolbar, indicating I had 20051216.  All
the menus now seem to work fine.  But the About box still said 20051214.  I
checked the contents of the XPI file, and it appears that the 20051216 XPI
still has the 20051214 version string.
