It is going to depend on the theme.  That fix was specifically for 
themes based on the stacking model in Mozilla Modern and its variants. 

Noia uses the classic menu-button style, but it sets a left margin of 
'-12px' on the drop marker, so that the icon is drawn overlapping the 
button.  You may be able to override that but it uses '!important' 
liberally, so it will depend on the cascading rules.

I do not know what is going on with FirefoxModern.
