The Mozilla Modern theme, and any theme derived from it, uses
XBL to
change the layout of the menu-buttons on a toolbar. Normally,
they are
made up of a button and drop-marker side by side, but in these
themes,
the drop-marker is stacked on top of the button, so that it
overlays the
contents. It works well for the large toolbars at the top of the
browser window (Back, etc.) or the mail client, but not so well
in a
narrow toolbar.
Setting the menu-buttons to vertical orientation helps, but
makes the
toolbar larger and less attractive.
I am not sure how to fix it, but I am hoping for inspiration.
