Never mind, disregard my original reply. I now see what you mean
having read the canned mailing list verbiage in your message. It's
easier to have all messages from the mailing list sent to you
individually instead of in single batches ("digest" mode), so that you
can reply to an individual thread if you wish. Digest mode is really
ideal for people who want to follow along active conversations in a
list, but don't plan on participating.
