[Clippings] Lost all data

Hello,
 
When I just opened my Clippings all of my entries have vanished.
 
When I close the Clippings window I get a error message that says the Data
Flush failed.
 
Is there any way to retrieve my entries?
 
If I put them all back in, how can I feel comfortable that this won't happen
again?  
 
What causes this data loss?
