I found the problem - unless you perform an action in Clippings which
will trigger a data source save, you will lose your Clippings 2.0 data
after first-time migration from Clippings 1.x. Details on how to
recover from this are in the release notes for Clippings 2.0 that I
just updated. An emergency update that addresses this problem will be
out shortly.

Given the serious nature of this problem, Clippings 2.0 has been
pulled from Mozilla Addons.
