Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give you a quick update of where we are with new
Camino releases.

1) Camino 1.5.2, the next security and bug fix release, is almost
ready. There are 3-4 bugs left that we need to decide if we're
taking for this release and then finish the release notes. My goal
is to have the bugs and the release notes landed by Wednesday, but
that depends on the availability of other decision-makers, so we'll
see. We should release about a week after that, as long as there are
no last-minute Gecko changes that require a rebuild.

* Short version: set aside some time this weekend to translate the
release note changes for 1.5.2.

2) Camino 1.6a1 is currently scheduled for an October 10th release,
but it depends on two major features (software update and breakpad
crash reporting) landing for which we haven't had recent progress
updates, so that date's not going to be solid. Unfortunately, most
of the UI/string changes will land after a1 but before b1, but a good
chunk will be in a1. Also, since all of the new features that we
won't ship Camino 1.6 without will land for 1.6a1, there will not be
an extended period of time between a1 and b1 or between b1 and the
final release.

* Short version: please start working on your 1.6 translations right
after 1.6a1, and be aware there will not be a lot of time between the
string freeze (b1) and the final 1.6 release.

As always, dates are subject to change depending on developer
availability ;-) and we thank you for all of your hard work!
