No, as long as you don't call ME a jerk!
I have tried to use every suggestion offered here, but they all lead
to the same place. I'm sure some think I'm clogging the list, but
from day one I have thought the issue is with Camino itself, so I
have tried to be very specific about all the steps I have taken. Mac
install or profile aside, no problem with the stable release version,
intermittent problem with 1.1b1.
Before I completely drop the subject, with a totally fresh profile,
with only my bookmark and SearchURL files from the old profile, as
other say, it sure LOOKS like it's working. I even did 3 in a row.
BUT the next day, it fails to render. I emptied the cache and
retried, it works. Tried a second time, boom, it fails.
And I sure as hell know that an intermittent problem is awfully tough
to pin down. THAT is why I've gone into such detail, because I know
that's the best I can offer. Setting break points in the code,
running memory dumps, watching code execution are all way beyond my
capabilities.
BTW, after all is said and done, I decided a fresh start with cookies
is not that bad a thing. Keychain Access makes it very possible.
Hell, I was shocked to see that Camino needs to separate cookie files
around 132k each so I have 5 of the buggers.
