[Bookmarkdd] "exclude folder(s)" feature and keyboard issue

Hello People,

I'm using bookmarkDD for some time, and I find it a really great thing (at
least until there's tagged bookmarking). Here are two suggestions to make
it even more useful:

(I'm writing from a Debian Sarge/Backports Machine with Firefox 1.5, don't
know if this still applies on newer software)

1. Enable the possibility to exclude one/several folder/s (recursively or
not) from being searched.
Reason: I have many RSS-Feeds as dynamic bookmark folders, and I bookmark
some of the stories. So everytime I find something interesting in such a
feed (which won't be there anymore in, say, half an hour) and I want to
bookmark it, I'm being told that this one is a duplicate link (which it
won't be anymore in half an hour). So if I excluded the "Feeds" folder or
just the "Slashdot" Feed from search before, I won't be asked. On slow
machines with multitabbed browsing it's a big problem to open a new
window and one extra click every time for a simple thing like bookmarking
a page from a feed.

2. In the "Confirm/Duplicate Bookmark" Dialog, please put the OK button on
"Return", and if this is not wanted for other reasons - at least give a
shortcut for OK, as Alt-O or Alt-K.
Reason: When trying to bookmark something from the keyboard via Ctrl-D,
and bookmarkdd intercepts this, you are presented the choice between
"move", "cancel" and "ok". Finding it OK to have a duplicate bookmark
from a feed (see above) or still thinking you're bookmarking a new page,
next thing you do is pressing "Return" - because this is what you would
do, when saving the bookmark, and this you would do to dismiss the
message with "OK" when you notice it. But this opens the "Move" dialog,
and there's nothing you can do without leaving the keyboard (except
bailing out with double-ESC, and not bookmarking the page).

thanks in advance,
Florian Schmidt
