I'm okay with that, but one source of ideas might be Autocomplete 
Manager from Nikitas Liogcas -- it allows autocompletion in the 
address bar based not only on Firefox's history list but on bookmark 
URLs and page titles (bookmark names) as well. You can also restrict 
it to only typed URLs, excluding clicked ones, match any part of the 
domain, and even sort by visited date instead of alphabetically.
