Hi

I am a Firefox user and a mathematician. 

I just saw the extensions you made, and want to program my own for math
papers (of course it would include searches in the ArXiv as well, but many
more: mathscinet, google scholar, online repositories of scans of
papers). I could take biobar or \hbar and modify them, but I feel like
this would not be the smartest thing to do.

Why not develop a "meta-bar", that can be specialized to biology, physics,
whatever? Leave then the spec files on a website, available for download /
selection.

I would be interested in working on this.
