[Autocopy] changing autocopy functionality

I like autocopy, but I would like it more if the functionality were a
bit different.

Sometimes I highlight text in order to *paste over it* with the text
in the clipboard. Of course, with autocopy enabled, I end up pasting
the text I just highlighted, which I wanted to replace =(

I would like it if autocopy had the option to act like putty terminal,
where if you highlight something, it's copied to the clipboard only if
you left-click on the highlighted text. In putty, if you do that, then
the highlight disappears.

I don't always want to copy text I highlight to the clipboard. I think
if autocopy had an option for putty-like functionality, it would be
more handy.
