Just wanted to report back after testing a few days...the 0.4.3 problem:

"...middle clicking anywhere triggers paste. If the focus doesn't change from the text box to the button, middle clicking on the button will cause the text box to get pasted"

is fixed for both 0.4.4 (Firebird) and 0.4.4 lite (Thunderbird)
