We recommend making the following changes to your mailing list setup to reduce the amount of moderation needed:
- Discard tagged spam
- Privacy Options -> Spam Filters
- Add new item...
- Spam Filter Regexp: X-Spam-Flag: YES
- Action: Discard
- Discard non-member postings
- Privacy Options -> Sender Filters -> "Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined." (generic_nonmember_action) from Hold to Discard
- Discard old held messages
- General Options -> "Discard held messages older than this number of days" (max_days_to_hold): 30
- Disable immediate notification of new held messages
- General Options -> "Should the list moderators get immediate notice of new requests, as well as daily notices about collected ones?" (admin_immed_notify) from Yes to No
You can also request that your mailing list be disabled if you have no need for it.
