The mozdev.org site has served as an incubator for many different prominent features, extensions and applications in the Mozilla community. Here is a list of some of the projects that started on mozdev.org:

Er John,

Console2 started off on mozillazine. When I took over the extension, I moved it to mozdev. So console2 isn't exactly the example you think it is.
