[https://www.mozdev.org/profile/project_tag.html Project tagging inteface]
Projects can be tagged with keywords to aid users in finding your project.
XPI files in /download directories are automatically scanned and assigned tags based on information in install.rdf files, but this information is limited to supported applications and other general information ([http://www.mozdev.org/drupal/wiki/MozdevDownloadReleases more information]).

Recommended tags include whether your project is an application, theme, or extension; the name of the application it works with without the version (eg, "Firefox", but not "Firefox 1.5"), and a descriptive word or category.

New tags will go through an approval process and will show up once approved.

Only active projects will show up in the project tag list.

++++Tag Approval Policy
Mozdev tries to approve only tags that are relevant or could be relevant to multiple projects and tags whose meaning/value do not change over time.

For example, the tag "Firefox" is useful, while "Firefox v1.5" is not as it includes a version which your project might not support in the future.

A tag like "Miscellaneous", "Misc", or "changes things" is not useful as they don't describe what your extension does; the purpose of tagging is to associate specific qualities/features with your project.
