MozdevIncubator

The mozdev.org site has served as an incubator for many different prominent features, extensions, applications and ideas in the Mozilla community. Here is a list of some of the projects that started on mozdev.org that have since matured and moved to other places or that laid the groundwork for future product features:

Forumzilla Feed reader that is now part of Thunderbird More information
Sage A lightweight RSS and Atom feed reader extension for Mozilla Firefox. This is a recommended Add-on at AMO and winner of the Most Innovative Upgraded Extension award in the Extend Firefox contest N/A

Er John,

Console2 started off on mozillazine. When I took over the extension, I moved it to mozdev. So console2 isn't exactly the example you think it is.
