'Theme Installer' add-on appears *twice* in SeaMonkey; Where to put 'mozilla.bmp' [splash] in SM

I've used Netscape for a long time, have been using Firefox for a while. I'm now trying out SeaMonkey. As will become evident, I'm a neo at modifications.

Basically, two questions:
1. I currently have Netscape 7.2, Firefox 2.0.0.12, and SeaMonkey 1.18 installed. They all work fine... except for one thing: I somehow managed to get the Theme Installer, an .XPI file, to install TWICE in SeaMonkey. The two buttons show up on the Preferences-Appearance-Themes menu. How can I get rid of the extra button?

2. I tried putting a custom 'mozilla.bmp' in the SeaMonkey installation directory but with no results. Is it even possible to change the SeaMonkey splash? If so, where should it go?
