I ended up sinking a good bit of time last week into refactoring some recently-written code to be easier to test (removing static methods, adding more dependency injection) and trying to research how I can avoid these problems in the future by reading about various design principles.

The projects I worked on included:

• Writing test cases for handling responses from users - This is what I was working on where I ran in to problems testing that needed cleaned up
• Cleanup Hovercraft php build environment - Making Hovercraft build more cleanly and completely (code coverage, test suite execution, and documentation generation) made it easier to find the deficiencies in my testing processes
• Looking into setting up a global PHPMyAdmin for Mozdev projects to use
• Made some modifications to pending projects to make sure pending project names can get reused and mark old pending projects as ignored
• Additional planning for server migration

So I didn't get around to deploying the pending project email response script last week like I had planned to; I need to write additional tests this week before it's ready to go, as well.
